Ridgebacks struggle from beyond the arc against Lancers

WINDSOR, Ont. – Leading 16-15 with 22 seconds remaining in the opening quarter, the Ontario Tech men's basketball team was in the mix against the Windsor Lancers, but the difference on the night was their three-point shooting.

Windsor was 31.8 per cent from three, while Ontario Tech shot 14.3 per cent as the Lancers defeated the Ridgebacks 82-68.

Across the stat sheet the Ridgebacks matched up well with the Lancers, but more turnovers and three-point shooting stood out as the gaps at the end of the night.

Ontario Tech will hope to close the gaps and possibly steal a game on the road tomorrow night as they face the 5-2 Western Mustangs in London. Tip-off is slated for 8 p.m.
Graddy Kanku (Ottawa, Ont.) finished with a game-high 27 points for the Ridgebacks on 9-for-15 shooting.
Ammar Hassan (London, Ont.) and D'On Duncan (Calgary, Alta.) were in double digits with 13 and 11 respectively.
• Windsor had four of five starters finish in double-digit scoring, led by Shakael Pryce's 18 points.
