TORONTO, Ont. – The Ontario Tech Ridgebacks men's soccer team picked up a point on Friday night against the No. 7 ranked Toronto Varsity Blues.
Called due to inclement weather, the match ended in the 75
th minute with the Ridgebacks and Varsity Blues tied 1-1.
Fadi Salback (Bowmanville, Ont.) opened the scoring in the 54
th minute, but the Ontario Tech lead was short lived as Atchu Sivananthan earned the equalizer just a minute later.
Nicholas Miller (Oshawa, Ont.) made three saves for the Ridgebacks, while Sebastian Sgarbossa made four for Toronto.
After starting with a loss to the Carleton Ravens, the Ridgebacks have tied three straight matches to sit sixth in the OUA east division. Their next match is Sunday on the road against the Ryerson Rams.
