Waterloo's Clouthier named OUA Peak Performer

Michael Clouthier (Guelph, Ont.) – 3rd yr. – Waterloo Warriors – Baseball
The OUA baseball season may have just opened up this past weekend but Waterloo Warriors third baseman Michael Clouthier is already in midseason form.
Clouthier, a third-year Therapeutic Recreation student-athlete, hit .438 (7-for-16) with three home runs, including two in Waterloo's 13-11 season opening win over the University of Toronto Varsity Blues.
On Sunday, the 6’2” 235 lbs third baseman followed that up by hitting a grand slam to complete Waterloo's 13-10 comeback win over Western.
Through his first four games this season, Clouthier also has 10 RBIs, six runs scored and a stolen base.
Last season, Clouthier hit .424 with three home runs and 23 RBIs.
Clouthier and the Warriors are back in action on Saturday when they host the crosstown rival Laurier Golden Hawks for an afternoon doubleheader at Jack Couch Park.
