Ryerson’s Tanor Ngom made his presence felt in a big way this week, with his personal accolades buoying the Rams’ two wins against nationally-ranked opponents.
The Rams’ big man started the week with a wonderful Wednesday outing against the No. 7 McMaster Marauders. The 7’2” standout finished with 19 points and nine boards, as well as a block and an assist in his team’s 98-90 win on the road. Back at home, meanwhile, Ngom poured in a record-setting performance against Ryerson’s second straight ranked foe. He exploded for 23 points and 23 rebounds – the latter marking a single-game record for the Rams – while also adding three blocks and three assists. The team’s anchor in the middle helped seal the deal on their 87-82 win over No. 10 Western.
The third-year forward has been a welcome addition to the Rams since his return to action with averages of 16.7 points and 11.8 rebounds in his six games played.
