FEMALE: Julie-Anne Staehli, Queen's Gaels, Cross country
Julie-Anne Staehli (Lucknow, Ont.) captured the gold medal at the CIS women's cross country championship in London on Saturday. Staehli's victory marks the first time since 2003 that a Gael took home an individual championship (Beth Wightman, 2003) and thanks to her performance the Gaels women's team also took a third place finish.

Aaron Hendrikx (Parkhill, Ont.) was crowned the men’s cross country champion at the 2013 CIS championships Saturday in London. He captured the CIS men’s individual title as well as MVP honours with a time of 30:49.3, his performance stands as the second best in the Thames Valley’s 25-year history. The third-year environmental governance student was also named a first team all-Canadian and helped lead the Gryphons to their eighth straight national team title.
