The Waterloo women's rugby program has found their next leader as Rebecca Delaney takes over the Warriors as head coach. Delaney makes the move from Brock where she led the Badgers for the past two seasons.

McMaster Athletics & Recreation celebrated its 92nd annual Athletic Awards on April 5, 2016 and topping the list of major award recipients as Female and Male Athletes of the Year were Cindy Nelles from the women's rugby team and Stephen Maar of the men's volleyball team.

McEwen, Tomlinson honoured as Queen's top Varsity Team athletes

KINGSTON, Ont. (March 30, 2016) – Lauren McEwen (Wasaga Beach, Ont.) of the women's rugby team and Mike Tomlinson (Stratford, Ont.) of the men's volleyball team were named the top student-athletes for the 2015-16 season. The two athletes were announced winners at the 80th annual Colour Awards Varsity Team athletic banquet Wednesday night at the ARC Main Gym.

Natascha Wesch retires, John Weller named head coach of Western women's rugby program

LONDON, Ont. – Natascha Wesch, the long-time head coach of the Western women's rugby team, has decided to retire after 22 years as the leader of the program. John Weller, who served as an assistant coach with the team this past season, has been named the Mustangs new head coach.

Western takes OUA Bronze with win over Queen's

KINGSTON, Ont. – Getting into the Halloween spirit, the Western Mustangs women's rugby team pushed the Queen's Gaels into their worst nightmare: reliving the 2014 loss that awarded Western the OUA Bronze Medal. For the second year in a row the Mustangs topped the Gaels for third place in Ontario, this time defeating Queen's on their home turf at Nixon Field with a 20-10 victory.

McMaster upsets Guelph for second consecutive OUA women's rugby title

GUELPH, Ont. - The Marauders women's rugby team is now back-to-back OUA champions, after beating the Guelph Gryphons 21-13 in the final on Saturday afternoon in Guelph. With the win, the Marauders have booked their spot in the CIS championships in Kingston from November 4 to 7.
