Nguyen shines at Guelph Open
First-year University of Toronto Varsity Blues wrestler Thomas Nguyen picked up a top-eight finish at the Guelph Open on January 16.
Nguyen went 2-2 at the highly competitive tournament.
"As a rookie, he exceeded expectations," said Varsity Blues head coach Michael Quinsey. "I would have been happy with a single win. The Guelph Open is a national carding tournament so it tends to be stacked with tough wrestlers."
The Varsity Blues are back in action this Saturday, January 23 as they head to London for the Western Invitational.
