The Brock University men's and women's wrestling teams captured team gold for their third consecutive week as they won the Ontario Senior Provincial Championships.
The Brock men took home six medals in total, led by Alex Moher (57kg) and Tyler Rowe (70kg) who captured gold in their respective weight classes. Rowe was named Outstanding Male Wrestler.
Adding silver medals were Mizam Tamaradze (61kg), CJ Hudson (70kg) and Matrixx Ferreira (74kg). Rounding out Badgers medalists were 3rd Place - Brian Cowan (61kg), Luke Roberts of (70kg) and Clayton Pye (86kg). Mitchell Winchester (61kg), Andrew McKenzie (65kg) and Ignatius Pitt (86kg) all placed fourth overall.
The Brock women finished with five medals, led by the trio of Jessica MacDonald (48kg), Jessica Brouillette (63kg) and Olivia Di Bacco (69kg) who all placed first overall. Brouillette and Dibacco were named Outstanding Female Wrestlers.
Taking home bronze were Jade Parsons (53kg) and Kristina Mclaren (55kg).

Horner wins gold at Ontario Seniors
Seven members of Lakehead Wrestling competed Saturday at the Ontario Senior tournament, with Emma Horner (below) winning the gold medal in her division.
Dana Campbell won herself a silver medal, while Heather Brousseau (top photo) took home a bronze medal.
"This was a tough event featuring Ontario's top wrestlers," explained coach Francis Clayton. "Lakehead wrestled well, and has improved throughout this semester. The wrestling program has one more event, the York open, before the Christmas break."
Lakehead wrestling will attend the York open on Saturday, Nov 28 in Toronto.

Town wins silver at Ontario Senior Championships
York University Lions women's wrestler Alexandria Town won the silver medal in the 53kg division at the Ontario senior championships in Hannon, Ont., on Saturday (Nov. 21).
As part of her run to the podium, Town (Scarborough, Ont.) defeated Jade Parsons, a multi-CIS gold medallist from the Brock Badgers, in the round robin in a close match that ended early when Parsons got hurt and withdrew. Prior to the injury withdrawal, Town was tied with Parsons 6-6 as the match wound down.
Overall, Town went 3-1 to finish in second place behind Julie Steffler and her undefeated mark. Town also defeated Jenna Leslie and Chelcie Armstrong, who finished fourth and fifth, respectively, by matching 10-0 scores. Parsons was the bronze medallist.
Also representing the Lions at the provincial championships was Sebastian Galzote (Thornhill, Ont.), who entered the men's 61kg division despite still being a junior competitor.
Town, Galzote and the rest of the Lions will compete at home for the only time this season when they host the York Open at the Tait McKenzie Centre on Saturday (Nov. 28).
