September 20, 2022
Burlington, Ont. - Ontario University Athletics (OUA) is pleased to announce a partnership agreement with Women's Hockey Life for the 2022-23 season.
Women's Hockey Life (WHL) provides a one-stop resource for hockey players, parents, coaches, fans, and others involved in women's hockey, priding themselves on delivering content with information, entertainment, advice, motivation, and more from hundreds of contributors.
"Highlighting, supporting, and promoting the players who play the game we all love is at the core of our mission at Women's Hockey Life," said Jaclyn Hawkins, WHL president and founder. "This partnership with the OUA allows us to put a spotlight on the incredible women who are excelling at the university level, shedding light on all of the programs in the OUA who offer women's hockey, while simultaneously inspiring young players to pursue their dreams of playing in university."
As the puck drops on this partnership with WHL, so too will a series of feature interviews from each of the 12 women's hockey programs within the OUA, as stories and insights from some of the best and brightest across the conference are shared throughout the season.
"The OUA has an impressive roster of women's hockey student-athletes and the ability to work with a group as talented and dedicated as Women's Hockey Life to help spotlight these individuals is an exciting prospect," said Chris Verlaan, OUA Manager of Digital & Communications. "It is clear how much the organization cares about celebrating women's hockey at every level, and we look forward to that passion coming through as part of this new initiative and corresponding partnership."
