MATT MACCARONE PLAYS IN THE NHL
“I’m really happy for Matt,” said Wilfrid Laurier Golden Hawks men’s hockey head coach Kelly Nobes. “It’s great to see him having success at this level and we want to wish him the best of luck.”
The six-foot-seven communications studies major played in 87 regular season games for the Golden Hawks, scoring 17 goals and 61 points in his four seasons. His point total puts him in 31st place on Laurier’s all-time scoring leaders list. More recently, Maccarone played 18 games for the Tulsa Oilers of the Central Hockey League before receiving his tryout with the Rangers.
