Several OUA standouts compete for Toronto 3D in China at ATLAS international
On May 7th, Toronto 3D Global Sports, representing Canada, completed competing in their first city of the ATLAS international, invite only tournament, in Yungyang, Chongqing. 3D went 0-3 vs. China National B team, Lithuania first-league, and USA D League / NCAA stars. This was a lifetime experience for many of our young Canadians athletes on the team as they competed in front of 5000+ fans.

Game 1-3 Recap: Yunyang, Chongqing
On May 7th, Toronto 3D Global Sports, representing Canada, completed competing in their first city of the ATLAS international, invite only tournament, in Yungyang, Chongqing. 3D went 0-3 vs. China National B team, Lithuania first-league, and USA D League / NCAA stars. This was a lifetime experience for many of our young Canadians athletes on the team as they competed in front of 5000+ fans.
Game 1: China 93 Canada 76
We started the tournament with a grand-opening ceremony for the Canada vs. China game which was streamed live for fans to view on www.letv.com. Toronto 3D Canada started off strong and lead, 44-43, going into halftime. After the 3rd quarter, 3D was up by 3 points, but got into foul trouble and had a difficult time keeping momentum down the stretch against the China National B team.
Top Performers: Tramique Sutherland had 10 Points and 7 Rebounds. Alex Campbell and Tshing Kasamba both added added 11 points.
Game 2: Canada 71 USA 86
It was a battle of will and athleticism as Toronto 3D, representing Canada and USA D League / NCAA stars went back-and-forth, trading baskets. By the end of the 3rd quarter, 3D was down 63-61 versus a powerhouse of team built with D League professional and NCAA Division I veterans. It came down to the 4th quarter where 3D let the lead slip as the USA team picked up their level of play and the victory.
Top Performers: Alex Campbell had 12 points and Evan Matthews chipped in with 11 points. Kadeem Green had 6 points and 12 rebounds.
Game 3: Lithuania 85 Canada 77
Lithuania is one of the top basketball countries in the world and it showed in this game. Lithuania ran the pick and roll to perfection and rotated to find the open man for the easy basket. With only one-week of training camp and this was our third exhibition game as a team, we went into halftime down, 36-33, vs. first-league professionals of Lithuania.
We have a young team. The average age is 23 and this is the first time many of our players are playing together. It takes time and experience to finish games in the second half and find our closers. Lithuania grew their lead to 17 points with 6 minutes left in the 4th quarter. It was flight-or-fight. In just 4-minutes, 3D inserted a 2-3 zone and brought the lead down to 3 points, 76-73. Javon Masters emerged with 10 points and demonstrated why he is Canada's (2016, CIS) leading scorer. Alex Campbell had back-to-back steals with a 3-pointer and a pivotal and-1 finish. Tshing Kasamba's defense and Kadeem Green's relentless attack of the rim also helped mount the comeback. Down 3 points, with 2-minutes left in the game, bonus foul shooting got the best of 3D as Lithuania went on to win by 8 points.
Top Performers: Alex Campbell had 17 points. Javon Masters and Kadeem Green both added 14 points.
On May 8th, 3D travels to their second city Dazu, Chongqing, to avenge their games against China National B team, USA D-League/NCAA All-Stars, and the first-league of Lithuania stars.
