Guelph was led by Taylor Boers with 14 points off the bench in the losing effort.
"They gave us a tough first half…and the more we get tested the better it is for us," said head coach Roy Rana postgame. "I've been coaching this sport for a long time and this is a very special group of guys with a professional approach to practice, to everything we do. I have a lot of confidence in them; I feel good about this team."
Ryerson improves to 14-2 on the season while Guelph falls to 7-7. The Rams are back on the court this Saturday when they host the Lakehead Thunderwolves at 8:00 p.m.
