Brock men's basketball drops 105-80 decision to No. 4 Marauders
The Brock University men's basketball team (1-3 OUA) dropped a 105-80 decision to the No. 4 ranked McMaster Marauders (3-2 OUA) Wednesday night at the Bob Davis Gymnasium.

Brock led 15-14 midway through the first quarter, before McMaster put together a 16-3 run to take a 30-18 lead at the end of 10 minutes.
In the second quarter, the Badgers rallied back cutting the lead to five, 34-29, with 6:25 left in the quarter. The Marauders would go on a 6-0 run over the next two minutes and led 45-35 at the half.
McMaster went on another run in the opening five minutes of the third quarter, leading 58-42 with 5:54 left and led by 19 after 30 minutes 72-53.
In the final quarter, the Marauders went up 86-57 in the opening three minutes, on route to the 25-point road victory.
Brock had four players reach double digits led by rookie Johneil Simpson who recorded 18 points and six rebounds. Matt Marshall collected his second straight double-double adding 15 points and 17 boards. Yusuf Ali (12 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists) and Zachary Angelini (11 points, 6 rebounds) rounded out the Badgers scoring leaders.
McMaster had five players in double figures led by Joe Rocca who finished with a game-high 25 points going 10-for-15 from the field. Leon Alexander contributed with 20 points, five rebounds and four assists, while Rohan Boney added the double-double registering 12 points and 11 rebounds. Rounding out the Marauders leaders were Aaron Redpath and Taylor Black who finished with 11 and 10 points respectively.
For the game, McMaster shot 51.2% (42-for-82) from the field, including 50.0% (9-for-18) from long range. They struggled from the free throw line going just 12-for-25 (48.0%). The Badgers shot just 33.8% (26-for-77) from the floor and 38.1% (8-for-21) from beyond the arc. From the charity stripe they were 20-for-26 (76.9%). The Marauders forced the Badgers to 24 turnovers which led to 30 unanswered points.
Brock returns to action Saturday, November 22nd at 8pm when they host the Queen's Gaels at the Bob Davis Gymnasium.
