Basketball teams from Carleton and Windsor named Pizza Pizza OUA teams of the month for March

HAMILTON, Ont. - The following Ontario University Athletics (OUA) teams have been named Pizza Pizza OUA teams of the month for March 2014.
All Pizza Pizza OUA teams of the month will receive a pizza party, courtesy of Pizza Pizza.
Female: Windsor Lancers Basketball
The top-seeded Windsor Lancers captured a fourth straight Bronze Baby Trophy as CIS women’s basketball champions thanks to a 71-46 gold medal win over the No. 2 Saint Mary’s Huskies on their home court at the St. Denis Centre on Sunday March 16th.
After capturing their fourth OUA Championship title in five years the previous weekend, the Lancers knocked off the eighth seed Laurier Golden Hawks 81-53 in the quarter-finals, and the Fraser Valley Cascades 65-45 to advance to the CIS Championship final for the fifth consecutive year.
Male: Carleton Ravens Basketball
The Ravens won their fourth straight W.P. McGee Trophy and their record 10th national crown in 12 years as they defeated the Ottawa Gee-Gees 79-67 in the gold medal game of the 2014 CIS Final 8 on Sunday, March 9 at the Canadian Tire Centre in Kanata, Ontario.
On their way to the national championship, Carleton knocked off McMaster 82-64 in quarter final action. From there the Ravens disposed of Alberta 79-55 in the semis to earn a berth in the final.
The victory makes Carleton the first team to win back to back championships as tournament host.
