OUA, CHCH partner once again to air two marquee football matchups
Burlington, Ont. – The 2018 quest for the Cup gets underway this weekend, and once again, two of the most thrilling games that Ontario University Athletics (OUA) has to offer – 50th Panda Game and 111th Yates Cup – will be telecast live on CHCH.
The first to air is one of the most highly-anticipated rivalry games across the country, as the Ottawa Gee-Gees and Carleton Ravens will hit the gridiron for the latest edition of the Panda Game on September 29 at 1:00pm. Both teams are chomping at the bit to write the latest chapter of the Panda Game legend; something that fans won't want to miss after past years' late-game heroics, overtime thrillers, and unparalleled fandom.
After seeing the battle unfold between the two squads from our nation's capital, fans will then have a chance to watch the finale of the 2018 OUA season – the 111th Yates Cup.
Viewers tuned in to a high-scoring affair last year, with the Western Mustangs finding redemption against the 2016 victors, Laurier Golden Hawks, by earning a 75-32 victory en route to their eventual national championship. To see whether or not the purple ponies can repeat, if the Golden Hawks can soar back to the top, or if any of the other hungry, talented squads can conquer the OUA mountain, faithful followers can lock in to CHCH at 1:00pm on November 10.
Whether watching two teams going toe-to-toe in their quest for the Cup or seeing which school ultimate gets crowned champions, CHCH is the place to catch the action.
Beyond these two highly-anticipated contests, fan can catch the rest of the season's schedule live on OUA.tv, with the #QuestForTheCup also available on the OUA.tv app on Amazon Fire, Apple TV, Android TV, and Roku.
