BURLINGTON, Ont. – Eighteen Ontario University Athletics (OUA) standouts will look to make one last impression on Canadian Football League (CFL) teams ahead of the CFL Draft as they make their way to Regina later this week for the 2017 National CFL Combine presented by adidas.
Over the course of the three-day combine, players will undergo medical examinations, performance, strength and speed tests, on-field football drills and team interviews in front of general managers, coaches and scouts from all teams.
The three-day CFL Combine will take place March 23-25 at Evraz Place in Saskatchewan and is just one part of the Mark's CFL Week festivities.
Earlier this month, the CFL hosted regional combines for the fifth consecutive year with the trio beginning in Montreal for the Eastern Regional, Toronto for the Ontario Regional and Regina for the Western Regional. Based on player performance at these regional combines, additional invitations were extended for participation in the national combine.
The top players eligible for the upcoming 2017 CFL Draft, as ranked collectively by the teams and the league office, are invited to attend the national CFL Combine presented by adidas.
OUA student-athletes will make up forty percent of all the participants at this week's CFL Combine, with many of those expected to hear their name called on May 7, 2017 at the CFL Draft.
