WATERLOO, Ont. - The McMaster Marauders had a dominating performance outscoring the Warriors 66-0 in front of 2,200 fans on black and gold day at Warrior Field. The Marauders controlled the game with 348 rushing yards for 650 total yards compared to Waterloo's 165 total yards. The Warriors fall to 0-2 on the season while McMaster remains perfect at 2-0.
McMaster wasted little time kick-starting their offence when Tyler Crapigna scored a 13-yard field goal 3:40 into the game. McMaster would dominate the run game early and force the Warriors defence to be left on the field much of the first quarter. The Marauders' Danny Vandervoort and Kingsley Amankwaa would each add a touchdown before the end of the first quarter to go ahead 17-0.
The 2-0 Marauders will return home next week to host the Carleton Ravens in week 3 of OUA action while Waterloo will visit their neighbors the Laurier Golden Hawks for a Saturday afternoon game on Sept. 13.
