Ridgebacks unable to keep up with Rams offence in first meeting

OSHAWA, Ont. – The Ryerson Rams shot a staggering 58 per cent from the field on Wednesday night in a dominant 99-54 win over the Ontario Tech University men's basketball team.
 
Ryerson's offence was even more impressive in that they were 10-for-16 from beyond the arc (62.5 per cent), while the Ridgebacks struggled from the floor on the night with 25.4 per cent from the field.
 
Ontario Tech will now look for a better effort on Saturday in their final home game before the holiday break. They follow that with their final game of the semester on the road on Friday, Nov. 29 at Queen's.
  Graddy Kanku (Ottawa, Ont.) finished tied for a game-high 24 points in the loss for the Ridgebacks.
• Tevaun Kokko led the Rams with 24 points. Mouhamed Ndiaye, Tom Dumont and Jayden Frederick each finished with 17, 16 and 10 points respectively.
  Ammar Hassan (London, Ont.) finished with a game-high 13 rebounds and four steals for Ontario Tech.
• Ryerson's Tevaun Kokko picked up six assists to lead the Rams, while also leading his team with three steals.
• Tanor Ngom and Keevon Small each had a team-high eight boards for the Rams.
