Mustangs hot third quarter too much for Ridgebacks

LONDON, Ont. – In the largest loss thus far in their inaugural season, the Ontario Tech men's basketball team fell 106-67 to the Western Mustangs on Saturday night.

Ontario Tech had three of five starters in double-digit scoring. Despite that, the Mustangs saw all but one player score in their victory.

The biggest difference in the game was a 40-point third quarter for Western, which put the game out of reach for the Ridgebacks, who trailed 45-26 at halftime.

Wednesday night the Ridgebacks return home for another tough test as they host the Ryerson Rams at the Campus Recreation & Wellness Centre.
AJ Cummings (Ajax, Ont.) finished tied with a game-high 24 points, while Graddy Kanku (Ottawa, Ont.) and Ammar Hassan (London, Ont.) scored 13 and 11 for Ontario Tech.
