NORTH BAY, Ont. – The Nipissing Lakers were led by the Dominico sisters on Friday night as they earned a 3-1 victory over the Ontario Tech University women's hockey team.
 
The No. 10 ranked Lakers never trailed in their first meeting of the season, with Grace Donaldson's (St. Thomas, Ont.) second period game-tying goal being the only scare the Ridgebacks gave the Lakers.
 
Saturday, Ontario Tech will wrap up their northern road trip with an afternoon game against the Laurentian Voyageurs. Puck drop is scheduled for 4 p.m.

• The Dominico sisters scored all three Lakers goals with Malory scoring the opening goal at 13:47 of the first period, followed by the game-winning goal with 3:43 to go in the second.
• Maria Dominico scored the final goal of the night at 15:05 of the third.
 

BETWEEN THE PIPES

• Celine Tessier (Chapleau, Que.) made 33 saves in the loss for Ontario Tech
• Chantelle Sandquist turned aside 12 Ridgeback shots for her first win.
