No. 3 ranked Ravens end Ridgebacks season in Ottawa

OTTAWA, Ont. – The Ontario Tech University men's soccer team had their season come to a close on Sunday as the nationally ranked Carleton Ravens handed them a 5-2 loss in their OUA quarter-final.

Sunday marked the third time in program history that Ontario Tech had advanced to the quarter-final round. Carleton and the Ridgebacks have lots of postseason experience with each other as the Ravens were the team they beat in the opening round in 2014 and were also the last team they faced in a quarter-final in 2017.

The Ravens led 4-0 at halftime of this year's meeting with a natural hat-trick by Stefan Karajovanovic and a single goal by Gabriel Bitar.

Jean Paul Ajala-Alexis (Oshawa, Ont.) scored in the opening minute of the second half for Ontraio Tech, but Junior Asare reinstated the Ravens four-goal lead in the 65th minute.

Matthew Perovic (Toronto, Ont.) added an extra-time goal to end the match down three.

Ontario Tech's Nicholas Miller (Oshawa, Ont.) finished with 12 saves in the loss, while Nick Jeffs made one save.

For the Ridgebacks they only have one player graduating this season and are hoping to improve on this season's result next fall.
  Overall Record: 9-4-5
