RMC vs Queen's Wednesday - 2018/10/10

Kingston, ON - RMC (1-1) played a nationaly-ranked opponent for the second consecutive game to start the year, falling 4-0 to Queen's (2-0) in the foggy Memorial Centre on Wednesday.

RMC had a chance to take the lead midway through the first period when Owen Gill drove to the net and rookie Alex MacDonald ended up with a shot from in close.

1st Intermission

The game was scoreless after 20 minutes.

A pair of goals from Queen's had the Gaels ahead halfway through the second. Caleb Warren and Patrick Sanvido found the back of the net.

MacDonald almost scored again as time expired with RMC on the power play, but the buzzer sounded before he could get the shot off.

2nd Intermission

With 20 minutes left, Queen's led RMC 2-0.

Queen's doubled their lead in the third, including a goal in the first two minutes from Liam Dunda. Eric Margo got the Gaels final goal.

U SPORTS Athlete of the Week, RMC goalie Brad Van Schubert made 38 saves in the loss.

RMC is back in action with two games this weekend. The Paladins host Carleton (0-1) on Friday at 7:00 PM before visiting UOIT (2-0) on Saturday.
