OSHAWA, Ont. – A tie game at halftime against the No. 1 ranked team in the country wasn't the likely prediction for fans in attendance on Saturday night, but the Ontario Tech University men's basketball team gave the Carleton Ravens somewhat of a scare in their first-ever meeting.
Ontario Tech and Carleton were tied 40-40 at the half, but the meeting ended with the Ravens earning a 99-69 victory.
Ammar Hassan (London, Ont.) continued his dominance with the Ridgebacks, dropping his fourth straight double-double for the Ridgebacks with 14 points and 11 boards.
Saturday wrapped up a three-game homestand for the Ridgebacks who will now head to Windsor to face the Lancers on Friday night. Tip-off is scheduled for 8 p.m.

AJ Cummings (Ajax, Ont.) finished with the Ridgebacks-high of 15 points on 6-for-15 shooting, including 3-for-6 from beyond the arc.
• Isiah Osborne caused the most problems for Ontario Tech, going 9-for-14 from the field and 2-for-3 from three to finish with 24 points.
• Marcus Anderson and Biniam Grebrekidan each pulled in 10 boards for the Ravens, which was only topped by Hassan's 11.

D'on Duncan (Calgary, Alta.) finished with a game-high three blocks, while Carleton's Isiah Osborne and Hassan each had a game-high two steals.
