Gaels’ Maxwell named IG Wealth Management Peak Performer

Burlington, Ont. – Sydney Maxwell has been named IG Wealth Management Ontario University Athletics (OUA) Peak Performer for the period ending February 10, 2019.

Peak Performer – Sydney Maxwell (Toronto, Ont.) – 1st Year – Queen’s Gaels Squash

Sydney Maxwell of the Queen’s women's squash team was instrumental in helping the Gaels continue their championship streak on the courts, taking on the No. 1 role for the now five-time reigning champions at last weekend’s OUA Squash Championships.

Maxwell was outstanding throughout the course of the weekend, standing tall for the Tricolour in her first year of action. She played her way to an undefeated record of 6-0, dropping just two games along the way for the Queen’s squad that didn’t drop a match across the three-day event.

For her leading efforts on the court, the Queen’s rookie was named the Most Valuable Player and Rookie of the Year, on top of her earning an OUA all-star nod.
