Quinn Cumming (Toronto, Ont.) – 3rd yr. – Ryerson Ram – Baseball
Ryerson pitcher Quinn Cumming (Toronto, Ont.) pitched a complete game on Friday, allowing just one earned run over eight innings in a huge 12-2 Rams victory over the Guelph Gryphons.
The third-year Enviro. & Urban Sustainability student-athlete allowed just five hits, while striking out a pair.
Cumming was workhorse for the Rams this season, as he finished first in OUA in innings pitched (46.0) and complete games (4). His 33 strikeouts also saw him finish the season tied for first as he helped lead the Rams to a 7-11 record and their first playoff berth in program history.
The Rams will now travel to London, Ont. this weekend for the OUA Baseball Championship where they will open the tournament on Friday against the defending champion Brock Badgers.
