BURLINGTON, Ont. – Alina Dormann has been named Investors Group Ontario University Athletics (OUA) Female Athlete of the Week, powered by 2XU, for the period ending March 6, 2018.

University of Toronto volleyball star Alina Dormann shone bright for the Varsity Blues women’s volleyball team, and her unyielding efforts have earned her OUA Female Athlete of the Week honours.
Having been recently named the OUA East Division Player of the Year, Dormann’s quarterfinal performance showcased exactly why she received the honour for the third consecutive year. She led the Varsity Blues women's volleyball team to a thrilling 3-2 victory over the Guelph Gryphons on Saturday afternoon at Goldring Centre for High Performance Sport, putting her fingerprints all over the final outcome.
The third-year right side hitter led all players with 27.5 points, coming from a game-high 22 kills, three aces, and 2.5 blocks. The Ottawa native also tallied 18 digs to advance the Blues to their seventh consecutive OUA Final Four appearance, where they will take on the McMaster Marauders in semifinal action.
